The Gums

DUNELAND FALLS, CHESTERTON, IN – 03/02/24

What a way to kick off the 2024 wedding season!

I started the day out by photographing Sara’s details and snapping a few photos of the girls hanging out. I was absolutely OBSESSED with their neon sign and knew I had to hang her dress there. Her bow on the back of her dress?! LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Such a cute little detail.

Duneland Falls has a great bridal suite and I love the idea of using the staircase for a little “Princess Diaries” moment. Sara and Brandon chose to do a first look and read each other their handwritten vows; cue me crying behind my camera because it was just so cute and sweet. When talking with Sara during the day, she said “he’s truly my best friend.” You could just feel their love.

I got to say, they had a great wedding party; full of laughter, smiles and fun.

One thing I REALLY loved was that their officiant moved all around; he didn’t just stand right in front of them. He moved off to the side and talked to the guests. I felt it made it more personal and was a great touch!

They had the most beautiful weather for a March day and an amazing sunset! We just had to sneak out for their sunset portraits since golden hour was GOLDEN HOURING!

The reception was great! The speeches were sweet, parent dances always make me tear up, AND they had late night nachos and ice cream!!!

Shoutout to the wonderful vendors!
